Training

The purpose of research is to create, share and preserve scientific knowledge. Advanced and continuous training achieves this objective through the dissemination of knowledge created by research.

In close cooperation with other national and foreign research centres and universities, the Centre promotes a wide range of courses in the field of Chinese studies, from language and culture, to the multiple socio-cultural realities of the Chinese universe in the past and present, as well as Luso-Chinese relations (from the Ming and Qing dynasties until today), and Macau’s history, society and culture in the past and present. The Centre also provides training in the fields of social sciences and humanities concerning links in the past and the present between Europe and China, such as the history of science and technology, comparative religions, the arts, and here in particular the transfer of models and artistic productions, and of architecture and urbanism.
